Authorisation Codes, Two-Factor Authentication Explained

Authorisation Codes, Two-Factor Authentication Explained

We appreciate that using push retail you often need to get access to the backend of the store quickly and sometimes from different locations. However, due to growing security threats on the internet and the sensitive information your PushRetail site holds we've taken the necessary steps to protect your access.

Two-factor authentication is when we ensure the person trying to access the site is the right person. Given that most individuals have their own email addresses or mobile phone number we send a short code to both of these. It means that only you have access to this piece of information and therefore we can prove that the person entering the admin area is legitimate.

While many people find this process tedious it is incredibly effective at preventing someone from obtaining your password and accessing your sensitive information.

Warning:
Please ensure that you only ever use unique passwords to access your admin system.
