Bike Hire Module - Set-up

The Push platform has it's own integrated Bike Hire management module, allowing your customer to rent your assets for a given period time. With features such as online waivers, appointment reminders and group management this tool gives you control to manage your hire products in the way you want.

Speak to your account manager if you would like this feature added.

1. Asset Creation - Epos

Create your 'Hire Assets' as products in your current EPOS System. This process varies depending on EPOS system so consult your supplier if you are not sure. It is recommended that these items are set-up as 'non-inventory' items where possible. Take a record of the SKU's as you will need these later.

2. Asset Creation - Push Hire Module.

Within Dashboard > Settings > Hire Module > Products, click the 'Create New Hire Product' button and fill in the boxes. 
Below is a brief explanation of the information you can add to each box. Boxes with * are mandatory
Title * - How you want the asset to display to customers
Brand * - Brand of the asset
Size  - Size of asset
Colour  - Colour of Asset
Minimum Height - Minimum height of rider this bike is suitable for ( this is used when riders are making a booking, in order to only display bikes that will fit them )
Maximum Height - Maximum height of rider this bike is suitable for ( this is used when riders are making a booking, in order to only display bikes that will fit them )
Suitable for Under 16s - Allow under 16 pricing - Tick this box if you want to allow special pricing for Under 16s and will open the option to add special prices
Suited Trails - This option is a drop down, controlled within the Trail Management section. Trail types will need to be added first in order to be able to select.
Replace Main Image -  Add the image you wish to display on the asset
Category 1 - First Level of Categorisation
Category 2 - Second Level of Categorisation
Category 3 - Third Level of Categorisation
Half Day Price (£) - Price of a half day rental
Full Day Price (£)  - Price of a full day rental
Under 16 Half Day Price (£)  - The price of a half day rental for Under 16 ('Suitable for Under 16s - Allow under 16 pricing' must be ticked for this function to be available')
Under 16 Full Day Price (£)  - The price of a full day rental for Under 16 ('Suitable for Under 16s - Allow under 16 pricing' must be ticked for this function to be available')
Damage Waiver Cost (£) - If you wish to off the customer an insurance at extra cost in order to for them to not be liable for the cost of any damage incurred, add an amount here.
Click the 'SAVE' button at the bottom of the page when complete

Now that the assets are ready they must be linked to the EPOS. Follow these steps
  1. Within Dashboard > Settings > Hire Module > Products > Title, click the 'LINK EPOS PRODUCTS' button to open a pop-up
  2. Enter the relevant title or SKU of the products you created in step 1.
  3. press + to select the item
  4. Click ' ADD PRODUCTS' button to add
  5. Close when finished
  6. Within Dashboard > Settings > Hire Module > Products press the 'SAVE' button to complete.

As an added feature you can offer your customer the opportunity to add extra items for hire. Typical items are pedals, helmets or pads. In order to offer this, follow these steps
  1. Within Dashboard > Settings > Hire Module > Products > Title, click the 'LINK UPSELL EPOS PRODUCTS' button to open a pop-up
  2. Enter the relevant title or SKU of the products you created in step 1.
  3. press + to select the item
  4. Click ' ADD PRODUCTS' button to add
  5. Close when finished
  6. Within Dashboard > Settings > Hire Module > Products press the 'SAVE' button to complete.

All assets will now appear in dashboard > settings > hire module > products
