Creating Postage Rules

Creating Postage Rules

Charging the right price for your postage is essential to selling online. Our postage rules tool will allow you to set up postage options to suit any product or group of products.  You may even wish to disallow delivery to certain areas or for certain products.  A few examples of postage rules regularly used by our retailers:
  1. Free delivery on baskets over £xxx (can be separate for bikes or P&A)
  2. No delivery to the Highlands (post code limited)
  3. White glove delivery to the local area (post code limited)
  4. Next day/48 hour services (optional more expensive services)

Basic Set-up

In order for a postage rule to function the following pieces of information are required:
  1. Label
  2. Price
  3. Min / Max basket Value
  4. Continent
  5. Availability

Restrict Group of Products

Using the powerful product grouping tool, postage rules can be set to apply if a product in the basket exists in the product group. If this is used all other postage rules will be removed. In the case of multiple matches, the most expensive rule will apply.

Block

This checkbox can be used to prevent any delivery options showing if the rule is met. This is helpful if you do not deliver to certain areas or certain products in a group and wish to block the delivery.
