How To Update And Change Product Images

Product images are essential for attracting customers, conveying product information, building trust, increasing conversions, and displaying your brands.
High-quality, appealing images can significantly impact the success of your products in the marketplace.

Once you have your product selected you can do the following:
  1. Refresh the image and see if the missing image is available
  2. Add an image from a URL address
  3. Upload an image from your computer
  4. Add a background lifestyle image (The website theme may need adjusting)
  5. Add multiple images to the gallery
Let's start with the basics of updating or adding a missing product image.

There are two ways of doing this one is quicker than the other and gives an additional option.
The first way is to log into your PushRetail admin, then in another tab, navigate to your website, and find a product that is missing an image.
Scroll to the very top of the product page where a green bar has now appeared, In this bar are edit options as well as stock quantities and views.

Select 'Refresh Image'. If an image is available in the Push database it will show as a thumbnail that can be selected and will be saved to the selected color and all its sizes.

If there isn't an image available you can use the URL image grab that is also displayed.
In order to use this function you'll need to open another tab, navigate to the brand or supplier page, right-click on the required image, and choose;
  1. 'open image in a new tab' - Do this if you want to preview the image to see if you need a larger image or to view the quality once expanded. If you are happy with the image you can copy the URL of the tab.

    or

  2. 'copy image address'. - This will miss the quality check mentioned above and copy the image address.

Once you have the new image address you can now paste it into your website's image grab bar and select 'Grab Image'.
*Note: Please do not use images that may be watermarked from other retailers' websites.

The second way is more advanced and will open more options for you.

You can either use the green bar option as mentioned above and select 'Edit product'.
Alternatively, you can use the Push dashboard and search for the product SKU in the top grey search.

Once you have made your selection you are now in the product edit screen, scroll down to the rows with the product data in and select a broken image icon. A pop-up will show with your image options.

The options shown are;
  1. Choose File - Select this to upload an image from your PC
  2. Save to all sizes of the same colour. (Tick box) - this will need to be ticked before selecting save, it is there in case the image you are uploading is a variation on the standard bike but only available in a certain size.
  3. Open image Gallery - This will open the image gallery option where you can upload more images of the product or rearrange/remove images automatically added from the brand.

Once you have added your images and saved you must select -
Prevent product feed overwrite (pricing and stock will continue to update where available) and then click Save.
If you do not the product images will all be overwritten when the site updates.

Additional image option

We also offer a parallax option to display a lifestyle image behind the product as a background as shown below.

To edit this image select the product image from the edit screen and select 'Secondary Main Image (flip)'.
Then upload an image no bigger than 2000px and select 'Save to all' before the main save button in the pop up box.
