Adding Google Tag Manager

Adding Google Tag Manager

Google Tag Manager (GTM) is a tag management system that allows you to easily add new tags, such as Google Analytics, Facebook Pixels and Google Ads conversion tags onto your site without the need to involve a developer. All this requires is two snippets of code added to your PushRetail admin area.

Setup

1. Sign up for Google Tag Manager — tagmanager.google.com
2. Select "create a new account" and fill in the relevant details (select "Web" as your "Target  Platform")
3. Copy the code and paste it into your site by using the Settings > Integrations section of your PushRetail admin console. Here there will be a section for both the 'Header code' and 'Body code'. Please paste the relevant code into their separate sections.
    1. You can find more information here:  developers.google.com/tag-platform/tag-manager/web
    2. Contact your account manager at PushRetail if you have issues with the installation.
Your GTM container (‘container’ is the term used for your installed GTM code and area you add in your tags) will now be live on your website ready for you to add in new tags to improve and analyse performance.
